Episode I kicked off at Joey’s school!
It’s the 1st time we’re celebrating her birthday among so many little friends, and it was really quite funny seeing how every kid respond during a birthday celebration. When they saw Isaiah & I bring in the cake, they went, ‘Thank You Joey Mummy. Thank you Joey Daddy.’ Haha… One of the boys even said, ‘I love Joey Daddy’, then giggled to himself how funny it sounded. Kids are so adorable! =D
It’s the first time the kids had an agar agar cake for a celebration, and definitely the first time trying for most of them. Even though many were apprehensive about the agar agar at the beginning and were picking at the food, the teachers encouraged them to try and in the end, many kept asking for more servings! Woot!
The Dora Birthday Cake!
The girls couldn’t hide their excitement at seeing Dora! Haha..
It’s really very different celebrating birthday for a three-year-old as compared to a two-year-old. Joey obviously knows that she is the star and would readily pose for photos and smile sweetly! During her two-year-old party, I remembered she was still rather shy at the attention given to her. This year, she enjoyed herself! =) Look at the glee on her face!
Wonder why the cake is still inside the box? Cos the teacher said the kids might ‘attack’ the cake! Haha..
It was really great that Papa Isaiah could join us for the celebration. He initially couldn’t make it because of work. It’s just different with him around! :)
Joey still very much loves Mickey Mouse, but since we already had the Minnie Mouse cake last year, we chose the Dora cake this year, but gave in when it came to the cutlery. Bought Mickey Mouse Clubhouse paper plates, serviettes and spoons. They were really colourful & added life to the party!
See Joey’s friends enjoying the agar agar!
This little boy is the younger brother of one of the classmates in this class, and he’s the youngest in the lot, only 18 months or so. So cute right?! He had many many servings! He loves the agar agar! Haha…
Joey too, of course!
There is a residential hamster in the school and Joey loves to feed it and watch it everyday. We thought of buying her one for her birthday, but we haven’t found a shop that sells hamster yet. Will have to check out the Pet Safari and some other pet shops this weekend. :) Then Tortoises Albert & Robert will have company. Hee hee…
This is Joey’s form teacher and also her favorite teacher – Teacher Janet!
After the celebration, we went back to our car, and Joey found a birthday present for her! Just a prelude to the hamsters. :)
Dora!
Before I end off this post, let me show you the video clip that Papa Isaiah took during the ‘Happy Birthday’ song… Check out how the little boy next to Joey blew out the candles before Joey could do so! Wahahaha!
Hope Joey had fun! :)
she sure looks like she had lots of fun yesterday! haha...
