Eat Play Love Cafe Again!

I like the little cafe so much I brought my parents and brother there one afternoon.

My parents are the typical older generation who cannot appreciate such things, but I was looking for a quiet-enough place to hang out for a while. It was after lunch hour, so as expected, the cafe was quiet and pretty empty, just the refuge we were seeking for from the scorching sun outside. Plus, Joey was with us and she can entertain herself by crafting. I've shared about this cafe twice here and here - The cafe is definitely gaining popularity over the last few months. I saw many birthdays and recently, several marriage proposals, done there. Everybody likes a whimsical cafe, I suppose. :)

During weekdays, you only need to pay $5/kid/2hr to do crafting using materials provided inside the cafe. When we first visited the place, the craft materials were in abundance in buckets and various drawers etc, free for the children to take. However, the cafe subsequently realised that it caused a lot of unnecessary wastages. The kids were taking way too many materials, more than they need, and glue would get on everything, and nothing can be reusable. The cafe then improvised the system, and now for $5/kid/2hr (weekdays; double the price during weekends), the kid would get a packet of crafting materials and one set of 'project' he/she can do. Certain materials are provided free flow at the various stations, but this definitely cut down the wastages by a lot.

My mom was naturally dragged to do crafts with her, while I enjoyed a quiet afternoon sipping coffee. Enjoyment. Grandparents are such blessings!

The lemonade was good - refreshing!

And nothing can go wrong with mango with glutinous rice. The mango was especially sweet.

Hubby hadn't had lunch so he ordered the pineapple rice to try. The crispy chicken wings on the side were SO GOOD!

I also love the little accessories they sell in the cafe - simple and very affordable!

Always love browsing through the vintage snacks they sell. Don't you think they are so happy-looking??

This cafe is totally worth checking out if you have not done so! :)
