Christmas is always a special season to me. I love everything about Christmas – the carols, decorations, food and the joyous feeling in the air. Last weekend, we caught Junior Claus, and the Christmas mood was in the air everywhere – Love it that it comes early this year! =D
The moment I stepped into the theatre, I was blown away by the set. Just look at this:
Such a pretty set and lovely props used throughout the musical! This brand new musical from Singapore Repertoire Theatre (SRT) is a story that happens in Christmas Town, where Junior Claus (son of Santa Claus) saved Christmas from being cancelled by the evil character, who wants to keep all the presents and sell them for high prices after Christmas! Love the songs sung throughout the musical, and how the story dealt with emotions of low self-esteem and self-love, and eventually, courage to break out of that fear. Kids would leave the musical knowing that as long as they have the courage and would take responsibility for their own lives, they can do something great too. And of course, this musical will ignite their excitement for Christmas and in the fairytale of Santa Claus delivering presents to them by climbing down a chimney! =D Always love a good musical with great moral values. I say, this is a perfect musical for families to enjoy together!
We had such a great time catching the musical together, and just immersing ourselves in the Christmas mood. Relaxing weekends should be made of such! =)
