We find every excuse to visit and revisit the SEA Aquarium because there’s so much to see and admire. Personally, I always find it therapeutic exploring the place and quietly watching the fishes and sea creatures swimming, floating and gliding before my eyes. Plus, it’s always a great idea to expose the kids to such wonderful creations because they are easily intrigued and curious about them.
So, since it’s Halloween and there’s a special ‘Spooky Seas’ programme happening at SEA Aquarium, we made our way there recently. If you are visiting SEA Aquarium between now till 16 November, make sure you grab a copy of the Spooky Seas Adventure Trail map and watch out for the creatures mentioned on the map as you explore the aquarium. Through 12 activity stations around the aquarium, you will learn amazing facts about seemingly scary animals and discover why they are often misunderstood. The kids can also collect sweet treats from various stations throughout the aquarium, which is bound to thrill them to bits. :)
To celebrate Halloween, the tanks were decorated with pumpkins (not all happy-looking though), skeletons, treasure chests etc. Jayne turned to me and said much to my amusement, “The fishes are celebrating Halloween too? Do they get candies too?” I’m kinda glad that my kids equate Halloween to candies and sweet treats. That’s really what the whole festival means to me, quite frankly. It’s just an excuse for kids to dress up and collect candies, nothing more.
Take a visual tour as I bring you through the SEA Aquarium. But seriously, Halloween or not, SEA Aquarium is a great place to explore anytime.
Before we left the place, we took photos with two mascots – Mermaid witch and Jellyfish??! =D
I think it’s pretty apt to celebrate Halloween at SEA Aquarium - It’s always been a very mystical place packed with lots to discover. Hurry down before the Spooky Seas edition ends on 16 November!
