I have a liking for crafting and even though I’m not especially good at it, I enjoy therapeutic sessions of crafting and get attracted to all the pretty accessories. Recently, I’ve been introduced to Bynd Artisan, a homegrown paper and leather goods brand. The brand draws upon a strong heritage of three generations specialising in stationery-making as well as the combined 100 years of experience of its craftsmen to preserve the artful craft of bookbinding, letter pressing and leather making. Their stuffs make me feel so happy!
The good news is that this month, on top of the workshops making leather notebooks and card holders, Bynd Artisan will be holding Sunday workshops for parents and their children to make their one-in-a-million customised notebooks. This is an excellent activity for parent and child to bond during the December school holidays, and leave the workshop with a good-quality product to end the year with!
The workshops are led by 72-year-old Master Craftsman Mr. Chong Beng Cheng where parent and their child will learn select from different variations of book covers to the type of paper, right down to the colour of twin-bind and rivets to make their personalised notebooks. They will also learn how to operate the machines needed to put together a notebook and at the end of the day, both parent and child will go home satisfied with a notebook each.
The only 2 workshops left for the December season are on 14 Dec and 21 Dec, 1.30pm – 4.30pm. You may sign up or find out more about the various workshops available by checking this link: http://www.byndartisan.com/workshop.html The workshops will run at Bynd Artisan Atelier, 2 Chin Bee Avenue, Singapore 619927.

Thanks to Bynd Artisan, I have 3 passes to give away to 3 readers to attend the Parent-Child workshop on 21 Dec 2014, 1.30pm ($48/class). As mentioned earlier, every parent-child pair will learn how to make their own customized notebooks and bring their notebooks home happily at the end of the class.
