We love to eat tangyuan (or rice balls in sweet soup) and we don’t usually wait for the winter solstice festival to have them. But when it’s winter solstice, we try to make the tangyuan ourselves at home. The kids love to make as well as eat them, so it’s always fun to do it ourselves at home. This year, it’s even more special because my mum made some healthy dough with black sesame, sweet potato and pumpkin!
Making tangyuan is a great family bonding activity and we had so much fun!
Thank you Popo for the healthy dough! We’re gonna have a great tangyuan feast today!
Happy winter solstice, everybody! :)
