The kids had been looking forward to catch the Bubble Magic show since I told them about it, and I’m glad that the show did not disappoint!
The whole show was delivered somewhat in a mime manner – I said ‘somewhat’ because the two bubble masters did speak in the show, but it was all in gibberish which no one could understand. Every time they did that, they left the kids in stitches. My girls, especially, could really identify with gibberish talk because they do that all the time at home to each other. It was a lame kind of funny, and certainly very entertaining.
The acts were interesting and some bits made us go, ‘Wow, that’s nice…’ in a dreamy kind of way, but I was a little disappointed that there were no big acts like the masters going into a gigantic bubble themselves. Nevertheless, it’s a kids’ show and the little ones were happy and satisfied with the whole show, so I guess that’s enough. Having said that, with the clever use of colored lights, shadows and apt background music, Bubble Magic is one whimsical feel-good show that is therapeutic and relaxing to watch. Plus, the bubble masters had really funny expressions and made all the kids laugh so hard.
Here are some snapshots of the show!
The finale is of course the bubble party that got all the kids so excited and rushing to the front! Lovely ending. :)
Tickets for Bubble Magic are available at SISTIC, and the show runs at Raffles Hotel Jubilee Hall, and ends on 14 Sep!
