Holiday Inn Krabi: The Kids Have It All

Media Invite

When my family came back from our Krabi trip recently and I told my friends that we spent most of our time at the hotel apart from a half-day out to sea, I was not kidding. It was unusual especially for someone like me, but if you were with us at Holiday Inn Krabi, you would totally understand why. My first post on our stay at Holiday Inn Krabi can be found here. Today’s post will focus on what the kids can do at Holiday Inn Krabi – It’s truly a place where they can have it all. :)

The very first thing that caught our (the kids’) attention was this ‘swing’ at the main lobby area. I lost count of the number of times we sat on it, but it was something we had to do every time we pass by the lobby (and that’s like several times a day).

Just a short distance from the lobby was an open green space and there were hammocks hanging from the trees. Of course, we had to have a go at it! It would be so relaxing to read a book here under the shade of the trees, just by a pond and the swimming pool nearby.

I love the swimming pools at the hotel. They’ve got different pools to cater to the needs of different ones. There’s the private pool right below the room we stayed at, which mainly serves those staying at the Pool Access rooms and is generally quieter.

Further down the pathway, you’ll find another swimming pool which is bigger and more crowded. Many guests like to suntan on the sun beds there, and there is even a pool bar where you can have a drink.

The 3rd swimming pool was the kids’ favorite of course. It’s the kids’ pool complete with slides and splashing waters. So much fun!

Next to the kids’ swimming pool, there’s a playground and a huge trampoline, which thrilled the kids so much when they saw it.

The kids’ absolute favorite at Holiday Inn Krabi was the Kids’ Club (but of course). They loved being there so much that they kept asking to go back there every day, and it felt as if the husband and I were having a separate holiday from the kids. LOL! But I felt really glad that the kids had such a good time. It’s after all the school holidays for them!

The Kids’ Club is pretty big with an activity area, toys area, media area and even a mini playground structure with ball pool.

Apart from the fabulous facilities and friendly staff who would engage the kids at the Kids’ Club, there is an array of activities happening everyday. As you can see, almost everything was free. We willingly paid the 100 baht for the girls to attend the rainbow loom class because they really liked it. And they learnt new styles at the class!

Every Sunday evening, the Kids’ Club organizes a Kid’s Dance party and so, my kids went for it excitedly, but not before being dressed up by the staff at Kids’ Club. Parents were invited to the party as well, and I couldn’t stop laughing when I met the kids that evening - They were wearing costumes from the Kids’ Club and crowns they made themselves that afternoon! =P

The Kids’ Dance Party was kinda happening, with mascots, magicians, clowns and titbits provided, all to let the kids have a fun time.

I stayed for 15 minutes, seated behind with some of the other parents. But seeing that the kids were totally entertained by the performances and didn’t even bother to turn to look at me once, I left with a broken heart (Haha, Joking! I went to take photos of the sunset with the husband at the beach instead!) Well, how important is a good Kids’ Club? Only parents can understand that. =P

The kids had such a great time that evening, and Jayne came back beaming from ear to ear, “I won the title of Dancing Queen tonight, Mummy!” Well, kinda expected. =D

Thank you Holiday Inn Krabi, for being such a kid-friendly holiday venue, with staff who genuinely enjoys spending time with the kids and making them feel at home. On our final morning at the hotel, we were having a quick dip in the pool when one of the Kids’ Club staff came over and chatted with us. We’ve only known her for 3 days, but we chatted for half an hour like old friends, sharing about our families and work. It was really nice to feel really at home when on holiday in a foreign land and to be treated with such sincerity and genuineness by someone we knew for merely 4 days.

What a wonderful family holiday it has been, indeed. Grateful. :)
