Some weeks back, I was invited by Face Yinc to visit their beauty spa for some pampering treats together with my mum & mother-in-law. Needless to say, my two mothers were super excited. All women cannot resist beauty treats, can they??! It turned out to be a really fun and relaxing afternoon for us as the husband whisked the kids off to an enrichment class. :)
The main reason why we were invited is because Face Yinc will be launching a brand new machine at their shop this coming weekend, and we were there to try it. On top of that, we also tried their other beauty services - I’ll share more as we go along. Face Yinc is conveniently located within the rowdy Khatib neighbourhood area, but once you step into the shop, it’s like stepping into another world where your senses will immediately feel relaxed. By the way, this is a one-stop shop where you can get many of your beauty needs taken care of – You can do facial, ear-candling, eyebrow trimming, waxing, eyelash extensions and even manicure and pedicure! Love how convenient it is. :)
Both my mums are blessed with naturally good complexion (I wonder why I didn’t inherit the good genes from my mum!), so they don’t go for facials that often. It was a rare treat that their skin could get pampered this much! The new machine – Thermage E Matrix – has some major benefits such as minimizing pores and restoring collagen levels in the skin, thus reducing wrinkles and making one look younger. My mum was delighted to hear about its benefits!
I tried the treatment by Thermage E Matrix as well, and it was a totally pain-free and very comforting process. I have extremely low threshold for pain, so you can trust me when I said that the process involved no pain at all. Plus, the effects of the treatment were visible immediate after the treatment with absolutely no down-time at all. My mum was all praises for it!

My mother-in-law and I tried the ear-candling and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The whole process was so therapeutic, complete with shoulder and lymphatic massages. Ear-candling is a non-invasive technique to remove ear wax. As the candle burns, warm smoke fills your ear, loosening wax and other debris. A vacuum-effect sucks the wax into the cone, which is then removed from your ear. For some people, ear-candling also helps them in their sinus and migraine problem as well. Face Yinc uses good-quality organic ear candles imported from Germany, so you can rest assured that you will be well taken care of. :)
Don’t be daunted by the fire because the staff at Face Yinc have been trained to handle the process with skill. My mother-in-law felt so relaxed that she fell asleep!
After we are all done with our facial treatments, we took a 30-second walk through the small glass door into this pretty haven for pampering our hands and feet! Look how pink and girly this little space is!
This space may be small, but it’s got everything you need to get your nails prettily done up. The manicurists are also skilled in nail art and acrylic nails, so you are certainly in good hands here.
Both mums opted for simple and clean-cut manicures and pedicures, and you bet they left the shop that day with big smiles on their faces. I scored a big one for pampering them with so many treats that day, of course. LOL!
