Across The Causeway

Went across the Causeway to JB to visit Joey's great grandmama today!

Although it's just an expressway away, JB still looks like Singapore 20 years ago.. But it's pretty nostalgic going there once in a while. =D

Joey adores the koi pond at my auntie's place!

Left Joey with my MIL at Auntie's house, and Isaiah and I went out to get lunch and buy some food stuffs. Had Kenny Rogers for lunch! Very cheap leh, as compared to Singapore. Only RM14 (Less than S$7) for a quarter chicken set. Singapore's only offers 2 other side dishes, but in JB, they offer 3 side dishes! Plus when we went today, they ran out of muffins, so they gave us one more additional side dish!

Doesn't taste as good as Singapore's though... but still worth it. :)

Went to a wet market to get some dried foodstuffs for my MIL. What a very interestingly old place that I couldn't resist taking photos.

Then we went to this famous goreng pisang stall which is by the roadside. You must know how to get there, cos it's by the side of an expressway, and not visible from the main roads. From a makeshift tentage, this stall sells real nice & fresh goreng pisang! I especially love the fried fish sticks and mushroom tempura! Yum Yum!

It's a must-eat everytime we go over to JB. Very very nice!

Okie, before I end off, more photos of Joey!! She really KLKK everywhere in the house.. haha..

It takes a while for Joey to warm up to her great grandmama, cos it's been quite a while since she last saw her. And usually, babies are scared of elderly people cos of their wrinkles. Joey even cried when she saw her, but after a while, she was ok le! heee...
