Ya, I absolutely hate it when my hair is neither short nor long and it's just hanging there. Most of the time, I can't let it down cos it will curl in every direction and I got to keep tying it up into a boring ponytail.
My hair is now at that stage, and so is Joey's hair.
The agonising thing is that her hair length seemed to have come to a standstill, and it's been so so so long since I felt her hair has grown longer. It just seemed to have stopped growing. Sigh..
Dozens of people have asked me why I don't want to cut short her hair, cos most of the time, she is sweaty and she feels hot and sticky cos of her long thick hair...
But I am really in a dilemma. Of course, the easy way out would be to trim off her hair and keep it short (like I've done many many times), but there will come a point when her hair length will hit this irritating length again! So I made up my mind to just stop the cutting the let the hair continue growing. Hopefully into a length that I can comfortably tie up into a nice ponytail.
Sometimes when she is at home, we would tie her hair up and clip up the fringe. Some parts of her hair will fall by the side cos it's really not long enough yet. And sometimes she would pull the bands off. I wish she would stop doing that though. Cos attempting to tie the hair of a super active girl takes alot of effort and just one pull, and it's all gone! Arrrrggghhhhhh!
And so, agonised Mummy Kless has written the following prayer to God:
"Dear God, please let her hair grow. Let it grow, let it grow. Let it grow long, that I may tie it and beautify it, with clips that come in a nice row. Not so slow that I may lose hope, but let it continue to grow, and that will bring my face a fresh new glow."
Amen.
