It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when we started our walk through the Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve.
Joey half-walked, half sat in her pram throughout the trip. :) Although Joey does not fully appreciate the beauty of nature yet, we always felt it’s important to expose her to such things, so that she is not only aware about the concrete jungle we live in.
We had lunch first before setting off….
Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve is a pretty raw reserve. We trekked on sandy routes for 2 hours and just kept walking and walking as we appreciate the beauty of nature. I especially love the smell of nature – the grass & the trees… :)
Look what we found crossing our paths ahead of us!
A SUPER HUGE KOMODO DRAGON!!!
Doesn’t she look like she’s reciting some poem on the bridge? haha..
This is a part of the mangrove we saw…. hundreds & thousands of shell-like things, which we initially thought were just shells, but later realised they ALL CAN MOVE. ekks……
Other than these, we also saw lots of crabs, squirrels, eels, fishes, crocodiles, butterflies…
A walk through nature once in a while is really nice. Rejuvenates the soul. =)
