It’s Injection Day!

This is Baby Jayne’s 7th week and today I brought her for her 1st injection!

1st time I brought Jayne out in the new baby pouch, and I was happy to find that it’s really easy to use. I used to carry Joey in a front carrier, so this is the first time I used a baby pouch. Heard so much from different mummies before that it’s more comfortable and easier to use than a carrier. Just pop baby in and off you go! You can go hands-free too, so it’s really convenient.

Look how snuggled she looks in the pouch!

At 1st glance, baby does look squashed up, but it’s supposedly a very comfortable position for infants because that’s how they lived for 10 months inside the mummy’s womb. She didn’t make a single noise, and even slept for part of the journey, so I guess it should be quite cosy for her. :)

Here’s Jayne just before her injection, looking really fresh & happy, not knowing what’s waiting for her. Haha..

As expected, she cried more than when Baby Joey had her first injection. Haha.. she’s afterall, more ‘princessy’ in her character. =P When the needle went in, she cried really loudly for 3 seconds before she stopped to listen to the toy with bells that the doctor was waving to distract her. Then she remembered the pain again, and went back to whimpering. Haha, very cute leh.

Baby Jayne is 4.8kg at Week 7 (don’t know how long though cos doctor didn’t measure) and I think that’s a good growth from her birth weight of 2.7kg – A whopping 2.1kg! And doctor is very amazed at the fact that she now drinks 150ml every 3 hours. =P

Anyway, if any of you mummies are interested in this baby pouch I’m using, you can check out the online shop I bought it from: Cheerful Mama - http://www.cheerfulmama.com/.

The pouch is like a big bag, and there’s nothing to adjust – no rings, no buckles, no tying. It comes in 3 different sizes, so do choose the one that fits you. The same carrier can carry the same baby from infant to toddler up to 13kg, and all you need to do  is to adjust the carrying style. When not in use, it can be folded like a big piece of cloth and kept in my bag. It’s also reversible, so I can carry the bright pink version, while Papa Isaiah can carry the grey version. There’re other color combinations available as well. :)
