I dreamt the longest dream ever in my life last night.
I dreamt that Joey got married.
oh well, nearly at least. You’ll see what I mean.
You know how dreams are. They are bewildering and nonsensical and are often just plain weird. My dream last night had so many parts and episodes that I strongly think it should be made into a movie. I seriously think it will make a blockbuster.
In my dream, the girl was already 17 years old. The weird thing was that although I knew beyond the shadow of doubt that she was Joey, my daughter, she had the face of my Secondary School bestie- Mirabel!
This, by the way is what Mirabel looks like.
In my dream of course, as I’ve mentioned, she was getting married. The whole dream was about how we were all preparing for the wedding and on the wedding day, many things happened, including the fact that the bride did not turn up.
Did I see who the groom was throughout my dream? Nope. The groom did not appear even once. Rather disappointing, I must say.
The drama in the dream was that Joey grew up to be a good tennis player, and she was on the school tennis team. By the way, she was in some Junior College then. Her entire tennis school team mates came for the wedding, and everyone was looking around for Joey, who was nowhere to be found. The bride had run away!
Just then, there was a delivery for the tennis school team girls, and they were brand new tennis rackets and tennis attires! All branded and new and nice. There was an understanding in my dream that Joey bought them and had them delivered to the wedding. God knows why?!
As I am writing this, the dream continues to fade away in clarity, and I am starting to forget how it all ended. What I do remember was that Joey turned up at home several days after the wedding, looking really dirty and tired and distraught. Her whole face was covered with dirt (by now the face has turned back to her current face – the three-year-old Joey we all know) and she was all teary that she had suffered outside while she was running away from the wedding. She had no where to go to, and badly needed a rest and a bath. She told me vaguely she didn’t want to get married and that was it. As if getting married was as mundane as chatting about the weather.
Dream ended and I am exhausted now even thinking about the dream. Sigh… Dream-weaving is tiring.
kekekeke... so fast you are thinking of your girl getting married already?? =p
