There I was wondering to myself last night that today will probably be the first time I break my promise to blog at 8:30am everyday. Now I am awake at 6:30am to blog.
No, I didn’t wake up just to blog. I wish! It was Joey who woke up at 4am and got right into her hyperactive mode. And mind you, she was still running a high fever last night. Now, she’s all up & running!
This whole kids-getting-sick thing is really getting on my nerves. Apart from the emotional & mental stress of taking care of sick kids, it is totally disruptive for my work. It used to be that I only have one kid and when she’s sick, I can take a couple of child sick leave to take care of her and she’ll be okay.
Now with 2 kids, they take turns to fall sick! Joey falls sick, gets well, Jayne falls sick, gets well, Joey falls sick, gets well, Jayne falls sick, gets well… and the vicious cycle goes on.
Truly, when much has been given, much will be required.
Double the number of kids mean double the portion of blessings, double the joy, double the amount of memorable experiences. But double the number of kids also mean double the amount of time needed, double the effort required, double the amount of money spent, double the stress level!
Of course, the hyperactive Joey requires a lot more of my attention, but it is hands-down better than a sick Joey.
Drawing at 6am. How awesome.
Nowadays, she loves to draw some oval-looking objects on her paper, fill it with color, then tell me that it’s some mother who’s trying to kill some snakes, or a little baby who is eating candies. I have no idea where all those came from. Mind-boggling.
Oh Jesus, make my kids healthy always!
Your goal of 1 post a day @ 830AM inspired me... I TRY *coughcoughcough* to blog once a day for jay's blog too. Still trying, still trying...
ReplyDeleteHope Joey gets well soooooon! :D
It's actually really good you know? I've got friends coming to tell me that now that I'm committed to blog everyday, they are committed to come by to read everyday too! That makes me really happy!
ReplyDeleteGod is good, Joey's fever is totally gone today! Praying that it stays this way! =D
