Brought Baby Jayne for a night out last night.
We started off with dinner at a new Jap restaurant we found just 2 shop spaces away from Selegie Tau Huay stall. It’s called The Ramen Stall.
The restaurant is three storeys high! And the moment we stepped in, I was welcomed by a rather authentic Jap decor. There were bar counter seats and Jap chefs doing their sashimi preparation.
We were ushered to the 2nd level. Love the long staircases and the white overalls.
Quite frankly, Baby Jayne has been making progress in her speech department in the past week, and she’s now on longer a quiet & demure baby! She blabbers non-stop and makes super a lot of noise.
Haha.. Only baby’s face is blur cos she can’t stop moving & pointing to the camera! =D
The pricing at this restaurant is pretty reasonable. A bowl of ramen is less than $10 and their Don and sets are below $15. Soft drinks are free flow at $2.
I ordered a bowl of Mushroom Ramen!
The soup base was tasty (You can choose between chicken or pork soup base) and there was even a huge fried mushroom tempura in it. :)
Isaiah ordered a special bento set that came with rice, minced pork, scrambled eggs and grilled sticks of different sorts.
There were mushroom sticks, asparagus wrapped in bacon, quail eggs & chicken sticks. =) A pity, apart from the assorted grilled sticks, the rest was not fantastic.
It was a nice quiet dinner. (with occasional baby chatters.. =P)
After dinner, we met up with some friends for drinks at Wild Oaks..
Wild Oaks is a lovely bar & restaurant on Mt Sophia, and I love the ambience of the place! And definitely a major draw was…
Luncheon Meat fries!!!!
OMG so yummy. What an enjoyable night out with my friends… =)
