Can you guess where were we? =)
Yea! We were at the Bottle Tree Park at Khatib!
Love how they built the restaurant like a kelong…
The park is a nice place for families to hang out, especially during the evenings. :)
Love the big water reserve they have there!
Our primary motive for the trip was to take a swan ride in the swan lake!!
For $9, you can peddle a swan boat for 15 minutes and they allow a max of 3 persons on each boat. 15 minutes may seem too short, but trust me, you kinda get bored after all of 10 minutes. =P All because the lake is not that big and all you do is peddle and go round and round… Just for the experience, I guess.
Life jackets to be worn before we proceed onto our boat…
Joey’s legs were not long enough to peddle along with me, so she was in-charged of controlling the direction.
Just by moving the handle frontwards or backwards, it can determine whether the boat goes right or left..
It was a very serene moment gazing at the lake while the sun sets… It made the whole lake glow like gold!
Thankfully, my legs were long enough to reach the paddles.. =.=
Having fun!
Then after we did what we set out to do, we went for dinner at the one of the restaurants within Bottle Tree Park… Botoru Ki Japanese restaurant. Surprisingly, the food was very good!!!
This plate of sashimi costs 18 bucks, but according to Papa Isaiah, it’s very yummy! =)
Joey almost finished up the entire bowl of udon all by herself! The soup was very tasty.
And I had curry katsu don, which was very delicious. The curry flavor was very strong yet non-spicy. The fried chicken was tasty as well.
Papa Isaiah also had their signature beef udon. I tried too and thought the beef was very well cooked.. The best part was that they served up a side dish of minced garlic, chili and spring onions, which was like a silver lining. :)
Satisfying meal & a fun outing indeed! I love family time. :)
