Yes, I know that’s kinda plagiarized from the Holy Bible, but you can’t really say it’s wrong, because reading my blog CAN enrich your life, and voting for this blog CAN make your life more abundant. Amen.
It is truly a great honour to be in the Top 10 Finalists for Singapore Blog Awards ‘Best Family Blog’ category. Come on, there are 1001 family blogs out there, and everyone is interesting in their own rights. Even though I have a fair share of faithful readership, I never once imagined I would go this far on this journey. It’s been nothing short of amazing. I stand in awe.
Humbleness aside, I do think I have a great blog. It’s great not because of its appearance or how well I write (although I write so darn well), or the superb photos I take (although they are really superb). It’s great because I have two great kids. They are the reason why I started blogging, and they’re still the reason why I blog today. Without the funny and silly things they do, I absolutely have nothing to write about! You think one-blog-a-day is easy??? Try it yourself!
It is absolutely not easy to brag, so I don’t know how so many of my friends do it so well (of course I’m not referring to you who’s reading now). But I’m going to try anyhow. Here’s 10 reasons why you SHOULD vote for my blog. Period.
1. You have found yourself coming back to this blog to look for ideas on where to bring your kids every time Friday approaches and you haven’t got an idea how to drain off your kids’ energy on Saturday & Sunday. (It’s a scary thought, Mama totally understands.)
2. You have found yourself smiling to yourself unknowingly whenever you browse through my blog and have my kids’ silly faces smiling back at you.
3. You have found yourself panicking when you clicked onto my blog one weekday morning at 8.30am and found NO NEW ENTRY for the day. You had to resist the urge to send me an SMS/email/Whatsapp/FB message/tweet just to ask me ‘Why? Something happened???!’
4. You have found yourself wishing you could somehow bump into me and the kids somewhere on Orchard Road during the weekends, just to see for yourself whether Joey & Jayne are really like how I described them on the blog. Unknowingly, you’ve evolved into a stalking freakie weirdo.
5. You have found yourself saying ‘Ya! I also!’ silently inside of you when you read about the embarrassing (and notorious) things my kids have done to me and in my house. Great, we’ve found a best friend in each other.
6. You have found yourself wishing that the weekends can pass faster so that come Monday morning 8.30am, you can read a brand new blog entry by yours truly.
7. You have found yourself mentioning Joey & Jayne in your conversations with other friends, as if you know them personally. Then all of a sudden, you realised you’ve never really met them in person before, and everything you know about them was from the blog.
8. You have found yourself mentioning to me when we meet, the blog entry I wrote last week and last last week because you still think about it everyday after you’ve read it.
9. You have found yourself touching your computer screen and going, ‘Ooooh soooo cutteeeee!’ because it’s showing Jayne’s face in my latest blog entry.
10. You have found yourself wondering when Mummy Kless became such a fantastic photographer and was able to publish such adorable photographs of Joey and Jayne everyday? Yes, I am talented.
