This is the first time you’re hearing me say this on the blog, and I am excited to announce that I am a Crizal Ambassador! =D
Crizal had very kindly sponsored a new pair of spectacles for me (with Crizal lens no less!) and when I put it on for the first time, it felt like the world looked brighter! Haha! Nope, I’m not trying to exaggerate, but trust the good old words of a person who’s been wearing specs for the last 20+ years: Good quality lens make so much difference.
Especially for a mum like me who has to take care of two very hyperactive toddlers, having a clear vision is so very important. It also meant that I needed a pair of spectacles that was sturdy, hardy and reliable. Basically, one that could survive under harsh conditions of rough handling or extreme heat/coldness (You never know when the kids would hide your specs in the freezer. Never ever be complacent, mark my words.) Now, my new specs with Crizal lens promises all that, and more. =)
It was one fine Saturday afternoon when the Crizal Ambassadors gathered at the Universal Studios Singapore to have a great day out. What made us all stand out was that we were all wearing our new Crizal lens spectacles! =D It was so much fun seeing a whole group of us all wearing specs, and with the same determination in our eyes: WE WANT TO CONQUER THE USS!
Now, I have to admit, while it all felt exciting and fun, I was nervous. Super duper nervous. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to roller-coaster rides. My heart is not made for such excitement, I tell ya! The whole gang wanted to go for the Battlestar Galatica immediately. I swear my legs were trembling and I shivered. LOL!
I have to say this whole structure was magnificent and beautifully built.
But no matter how beautiful, I dared not. Haha!
Kudos to the other Ambassadors who were so excited that they practically dumped their bags on us and skipped in!! Such bravery should be commended.
The only thing I dared to take was the Accelerator just next to the Battlestar, and all it did was to make me dizzy! Way safer!!! =P
Actually, it was an awesome ride because it was turning so fast but I could see so super clearly with my new specs, it was amazing!!! Haha! (Yep, hubby is one of the Crizal Ambassadors too! Woohooo!)
Yes I was too much of a coward to take the Battlestar Galatica. BUT, hey hey hey! I was there to conquer the USS, wasn’t I??! There was no way I was leaving without taking a decently-scary ride!
And so, with my chin lifted up high, I marched my way to ‘Revenge Of The Mummy’ ride! BRAVE OR NOT??!
It was a good thing nobody prepared me for what the ride entailed. I went in without having a clue! I was only told that it was one of the scariest ride in USS when I was already seated in the ‘car’ seconds before we moved off. It was too late to back out. And so, I went through the very exciting, fast and scary Mummy roller-coaster ride!!!!! I deserve a Nobel prize for my bravery, surely.
I must say that my new Crizal lens spectacles was put to a test inside the ‘Revenge Of The Mummy’ ride. There was one part where there was fire coming out from both sides and I could feel the heat! No problem to my specs at all – The lens did not fog up but instead stayed clear throughout. During the high-speed portions of the ride where we were going up and down the roller-coaster, the lens stayed crystal-clear. Due to its anti-static property, the lens did not attract dust onto its surface, and whether it was for better or worse, I could see perfectly clearly what was happening THE WHOLE TIME. LOL!

It was a swelteringly hot day and all of us were sweating buckets as we explored the USS. Thankfully, one of the best things about Crizal lens is that it does not smudge easily. If you’re not a specs wearer, you’d not be able to understand who important this is. With our faces sweating profusely and pumping out oil especially near the nose bridge area, it was inevitable that our spectacles would keep sliding down our noses. The more often we have to push up our spectacles and touch the lens in the process, the easier we would smudge the lens with fingerprints and sweat. It can be such a a pain to have to keep cleaning our specs while we are dashing everywhere to have fun! What we want is clear vision 24/7 even in the midst of harsh conditions, and CRIZAL PASSED THE TEST! WOOHOOOOO!
Quite frankly, I was apprehensive about going to the USS wearing spectacles. But Crizal lens made the experience a very enjoyable one. =) I was hoping from place to place to take photographs! =D
USS is really such a colourful and happy place, don’t you agree? =D
Yes! USS CONQUERED! Mission accomplished. =D
