For the 1st time in dunno-how-many years, I am going travelling WITHOUT my hubby.
It was one of those spur-of-the-moment trips again. My brother wanted to bring my parents to Taipei for a holiday, and thought it’d be very kind of him to bring me along as well. I was very, very touched by his generosity, knowing how careful he is with his finances usually. And because I am the one who puts Baby Jayne to sleep every night, it was only logical for her to tag along as well, lest the husband goes mad looking after two kids at home. =P So within two days, all the air tickets and hotel arrangements were settled.
I am so excited for the trip because it’s been more than 20 years since I went for an overseas holiday with my parents and brother! (Minus away those Chinese New Year trips to Kuala Lumpur to visit relatives of course) The first and only time we went for a holiday together was when I was 10 years old! We were to Thailand on a group tour, and till today, I could still remember vividly some of the things we did and places we visited. My brother, who was only 6 years old then, opened the camera and took out the film when it was only half-used and overexpose all the photos we took during the 1st half of the trip. Yes, it was during the pre historical times when digital cameras were not invented yet. =X
It’s not easy to travel with an active toddler, but I pray everything is going to be fine with my parents around to help me. =) By the way, it’s Baby Jayne’s 2nd trip to Taiwan! The 1st one was three years ago when she was still inside my tummy. Haha!
