Weekend Snapshot:Oakham Market

Starting from this weekend, I’ll be posting photos I took during my photography expeditions as well as features on interesting places I visited. If you saw anything you like, you can go visit those places yourself too! =D

Some weekends back, Hubby and I went to Ann Siang to take photographs, and he brought me to this place called Oakham Market, which I fell in love with instantly.

You know me, I love small cosy cafes and shops that sell interesting knick knacks. I may not buy anything, but just browsing through the items in such shops make me mega happy. My hubby knows me best.

Now, tell me how not to love a shop like this?? Half of it is a gorgeous cafe with minimalist decor, and the other half, a gorgeous shop full of great things.

Abundance of interesting stuffs all displayed messily everywhere but with some form of creativity and order. I can practically live in this space and ne very happy.

Just a look around this small shop and some of the stuffs they sell..

They basically sell vintage stuffs, and you can find many of our childhood games there. Stuffs like five stones, sticker earrings for girls, etc.

Remember the finger game we used to play as kids? It’s now printed into books and bags. ‘Cherry Cherry Long Chiam Pass’??!!! Hahahahahahaha!

Paper dolls. Remember or not??!!

I used to own a yellow wooden long ruler like these… Did you too?? =P

I enjoyed myself browsing through the items on sale, and quite frankly, everything’s very affordable. If you love vintage collections, you have to check out Oakham Market!

It was so relaxing to just chill in this cafe. It was a very quiet weekday afternoon, so it was really nice. Anyway, there’re not many seats available in-store, so most people just come, pick up and go.

This tasted heavenly, I tell ya. Feels like a perfect combination of tiramisu with choco pops. Yums max. (But not cheap. A small dome like this costs close to $8!)
