We were invited by WowArt Studio to attend their March school holidays art classes yesterday, and the girls had fun! =)
The studio is prettily decorated with students’ artworks. =)
Little Jayne’s class is Batik Painting! She’s all dressed up for some real painting! =D
The class is very small – Just the two of them! Haha.. Lots of personal attention. Jayne’s classmate is one year older than her. =)
I love such deep and big water containers. I should really get them for the girls to paint at home.
On a piece of paper, the teacher taught the girls to use crayons to draw an ocean scene with fishes, seaweed and rocks…
The class was a little too advanced for Jayne’s age, so I had to help her along. It was fun for me though! =P
Then the teacher poured out batik paints on the palette, and taught the girls how to paint them on.
Look at how colourful our picture looks! =)
It was quite amazing. The batik paints on paper made it look like batik-printed cloth! Nice.. =)
At the end, Jayne had to blow dry the drawing in order to bring it home.
We are so happy with our creation! =D
In the next room, Joey was having her Copper Tooling class! This class is more popular and has more students evidently, haha..
I still remembered the last time I brought Joey to WowArt Studio for an art lesson, she refused to stay in the class and insisted I sit in with her. Now, a couple of years older, she’s of course happy to stay inside all by herself. And she enjoyed herself! =D
These were some of the past creations by other students. The kids were taught how to use clay to form different shapes to prop up aluminium foil to form 3D designs. Then they put the paints on to complete the art piece.
Tada! Joey’s creation!
The teacher told us that Joey is a very structured and systematic kid. She needs to ensure that the lines are all straight, colours are filled completely and thoroughly, and she would take pains to make sure everything is painted neatly. Very good job, Joey! =D
Thank you WowArt Studio for an artistically-inspiring Thursday morning! =)
