Easy Lunch Options With Mission Wraps

Whenever I am at home with the kids during the weekends, I always have to rack my brains for lunch and dinner ideas. The kids are sick of the food from the nearby coffeeshops and affordable delivery options are usually fast food, which is really unhealthy and cannot be eaten too often. Especially during this exam preparation period, we try to minimize going out so that the kids can focus on their revision without tiring themselves out. Thankfully, I have two packs of Mission wraps at home, and using that, I assembled an easy lunch really quickly for the kids, which was delicious and healthy as well!

Mission is always my go-to brand for wraps, burritos and tacos because they are soft with a good taste on its own.

Our easy lunch that day was a Korean Bulgogi Chicken wrap and all it took was 20 minutes for lunch to be ready! I had simple ingredients in the wrap because it was all I could find in my fridge. =P I shredded some Japanese cucumbers and carrots, marinated chicken cubes with bulgogi sauce and then roasted them in the oven until nicely browned. Added some lettuce for crunch and a squeeze of green lemon for a refreshing touch.

Really, there are no hard and fast rules in making wraps. Just put whatever you want onto the wrap and wrap it up anyway you like it! Bear in mind not to put in too much ingredients on each wrap though, as it may be hard to roll it up nicely. According to your preference, you can also put mayonnaise, thousand island sauce, mustard or chili sauce to enhance the taste. Personally, I like it without any sauce. Healthier that way too!

An easy and quick meal is settled before you know it! The kids get sick of rice and noodles because they have it so often. A wrapped lunch is a refreshing option for them, so they love it. Because it’s so easy and fast to make, these are good options for their lunchboxes for school as well. They keep pretty well as long as you don’t put in too much sauce into the wraps and make them soggy. Plus, they are so fast to make that you don’t have to spend too much time fussing over it in the morning.

Children’s Day is just round the corner – Why not surprise your kids with a wrap lunch or dinner with their favorite ingredients all thrown inside? For kids who are not so keen on vegetables, this is also a good way to hide them and let them eat everything together! :)
