EasyPeel is Roxie’s revolutionary gel polish technology that has come to save us all, ladies. When I first saw it on Instagram, I was thinking to myself – I TOTALLY NEED THAT PRODUCT. It’s a totally legit thought, I must quantify. For thirty over years of my life, I’ve been a nail-biting babe. It was a habit I temporarily shed to get perfect nails for my wedding some fifteen years ago, but I went right back to it after my honeymoon. When I finally made a decision to stop the habit and start growing some proper nails about a year ago, I spiralled into this pit of manicure-after-manicure delight because I had never seen my nails so pretty before! It got worse after several episodes of gel manicure which I tried to peel off on my own at home because I didn’t want to pay a salon $30 to remove them properly. What a pain it was to remove gel polish at home- I’m sure you know! Sure, they are long-lasting, but they caused so much damage to my nails as well! Just to prove my point, this is a photo that makes me cringe – The fourth nail broke when I was trying to peel off my gel manicure and I had to cut it off:

I love how classy the packaging is and how pretty all 6 colours are! And that chrome dust??? For a noob person like me, would it be easy to apply everything and make my nails look professionally done? I seriously can’t wait to find out.
Fret not, if you are wondering how to DIY a gel manicure because Roxie Design Lab has got all the video tutorials you need on their website to refer to. The instructions were clear and straightforward, so after watching it, I proceeded to start on my DIY EasyPeel Gel Manicure. First, the before photo:
File, buff and smoothen the nails before applying the polish to ensure a longer lasting manicure. That’s basic, ladies.
There is no way you won’t love the Nova lamp that cures your gel manicure in a minute thereabout. Best part of it? It’s so portable and light, you can bring it everywhere with you to have a manicure done on-the-go, or in between pockets of free time you may have during the day. You can even power it using a usb charger! Pretty cool stuff, if you ask me. Convenience is key in this fast-paced world we are living in today.
Yup, even comes with a timer to show you how long your nails have been in there for.
I timed myself – I took 20 minutes to complete painting my nails and curing them. And I’m absolutely a noob when it comes to DIY manicures, so if you are an expert, you’ll take even lesser time than that. And seriously, if I can get such neat nails, you will absolutely have no problems seeing what a clumsy person I am. =P
I love how thick the polish are – There was no need to apply a second layer and the colours looked this solid. That only means that every bottle of polish would go a much longer way – What a great investment!
Speaking about the chrome polish – I went for dabs instead of covering the whole nail with it. Just a personal preference – You can be as creative as you like, however you want it to be! After you are done applying your fav polish colour, cover all your nails with Roxie’s Top Coat and you are all set!
