I’m all excited to kick off this new series that I’ll be doing in the coming months on the blog known as Making Of Our Dream Home!
So much has happened in the last few weeks that I’m still caught up in the whirlwind of it all. We sold our current place which we have been living in for 9 years (and the place Jayne was born!), and bought another place which we adore so much. It’s really our dream home because it’s got everything we wanted - An Executive Maisonette near to the girls’ school and to the MRT station, bus interchange and shopping mall as well! In a couple of years’ time, a new MRT line will be ready, and we’ll be even more connected then. Seriously can’t wait to shift at the end of this year!
House shifting may be a really tiring and tedious process, but the husband and I are enjoying every moment of it. We love ploughing through designs and furniture online, and going around the island checking out different furniture shops and thrift shops, which we have been doing quite a bit the last few weeks. We’ve been spending days and nights discussing about the house, sharing photos of lovely decor we spotted online, and thinking through our budget etc. Right from the moment we listed our house for sale up to this point, we have experienced so much of God’s goodness and providence for our Dream Home – and that’s definitely a post some day soon – so it’s been a wonderful and happy journey so far. I’ll be sharing our thoughts and planning process on the blog along the way so that those of you planning a house shift will find the information relevant and useful as well. I’ll be adding in the blog links here as I go along, so do bookmark this post if you wish to stay updated. :)
