A Baluku

'baluku' (defn): A bump caused by hitting on a hard surface.

Joey got a baluku on her forehead at the area just above her eye. When I went to pick up Joey from the office nursery today, Auntie told me that when she was washing her bottle in the toilet and one of the maids was looking after Joey, Joey fell and hit her forehead against a rounded table top. The weird thing is I didn't hear Joey cry at all! Usually, Joey's cries are so loud that I would run to the nursery if I hear any cries I know are not whining but are 'oh very painful' cries.. But surprisingly, even though her forehead was very red from the hit, she did not cry at all.

Dunno if you can see the redness there....

Maybe it's not so obvious here, but when I picked her up from the nursery. it was really red. Man! My heart broke into pieces when I saw that...

Surprisingly enough again, the redness was gone, like one hour later! Now, cannot see anything there... So, thank God! No scars! And thank God that she did not hit her eye. Dare not even imagine what could have happened.
