I went to the coffeeshop opposite the church to buy my favorite Iced Teh. Joey was with me in her stroller. After making my order with the auntie at the counter, she started to play with Joey. Then she said something that made my face turn all distorted!
(She turned to me and said)
" Your baby look like father right??
Of course I nodded. And this auntie next to her keeping harping on...yah lah.. should be look like father lah...
"Must be lah. Don't look like mother sure look like father lor! The mother so pretty but baby.. "
(then at this point, the lady paused for like 2 seconds because realising she said something really wrong before continuing....)
"..... Baby so cute..."
So what went through my mind when she said that?
WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY BABY EH?? MY BABY NOT PRETTY MEH? HUH? HUH? HUH?!!!!!! YOU BETTER EXPLAIN YOURSELF NOW!!!!!
Pardon me for this outburst.
But of course, being the sweet Klessis, I'd never show all these emotions openly. All I did was smile politely at the auntie, take my drink and leave quickly. Anyway, the auntie did say I was pretty wat. Haha!
Still, how can she make such a mean remark on such a cute, adorable and innocent baby?!
She doesn't even know how to wipe her own saliva away yet!
Too much eh!
Unbelievable what the world has become.
