A Late Walker

It does appears that my Joey has shown signs of being a late walker compared to other kids. Many of my friends' kids have started to walk slowly or at least stand steadily, even though they are all younger than my Joey.

I am not too worried cos every kid does have their own timings. It's like God has pre programmed them to do certain things at certain times in their lives. Can't rush such things.

Today when I went to pick up Joey from the nursery, Auntie told me this hard cold truth again. Serina's baby, Angel, is like a few months younger than Joey and she has started to walk with assistance quite steadily. Auntie says she is alot steadier than Joey. And you know how Auntie tried to explain to me why this is happening?

JOEY IS BIGGER SIZE SO SHE IS CLUMSIER.

AHhhhh... Why say my Joey clumsy??!!   *flips away in disbelief*

I mean, ya la, Joey is bigger than babies of her age, but is she clumsy??! I mean, I know elephants are clumsy, but Joey??!!

To make up for her slowness in walking, she is developing her vocals really well. I am quite sure she is calling me 'mama' now, cos she would utter that right into my face when she is in a desperate situation, like trapped in her cot and wants me to carry her. She would give me that kind of pathetic look and go 'mama.. mama.. mama...'

So dear, I win. She called me first. =P
