Let Loose On A Friday Night

Met up with some close friends for fellowship last night. Haha.. when was the last time I did something like that??! Poor baby Joey was with us the whole journey and she slept only for 20 minutes in between till we all konked out at close to 3am.

We wanted to have a durian feast, and so we went to some supposedly famous stalls at Balestier Road. Boy, the durians were expensive! $8 per kg! And we ordered just 1 durian to test market, and it already cost us 10 bucks.

The durian looked & tasted good though.

Relaxed in the company of friends on a breezy Friday nite. :)

The durian had a bitter taste, and so Joey didn't really like it. She spit out immediately when we gave her some. Haha...

And so, since the durians were too ex for our liking, we decided to change territory to Geylang! keke... Bruce said the durians there sell $1 for one!

And so we stall-hopped to Geylang Lor 7 to this nice little durian shed. No joke, really $1 per durian. But since we decided we deserved some quality, we went for the $5 durians instead.

Our durian feast started proper. I must admit, the durians here did not look as fantastic as those at Balestier, but they tasted just as nice. And so, we were very pleased with our decision to stall-hop.

It was a decent durian & coconut combo feast. =)

You won't believe it. After a feast on the King of Fruits, we still went for supper!!!

Frankly, it felt uneasy walking down Geylang. There were really ALOT alot of men sitting at every coffeestall. And carrying a sleeping baby and walking down the lorongs was really quite an interesting experience. Finally, we settled down at a Hongkong cafe that sells dim sum! Another round of feasting!

The food is quite ok, but sorry I didn't take the photos earlier. =P

I think we all very 妖怪 lor.. after durian & coconut feast still can eat & drink so much!

And then we moved on to our next destination - SENTOSA!

We all had the impression that there would be lots of people partying on Sentosa on a Friday night, but it was ......... deserted.

Except for some crazy people of course.

We didn't stay there for long, but it felt really cool & refreshing taking strolls near the beach, taking in the breeze and the smell of the night.

It was a fun, relaxing night. Something I would do only once in a long while. Haha!
