Read the babycentre website today and was reminded that I ought to slow down sometimes to see things through Joey's eyes.
She is at the stage where she will pause & search for the sound source when a handphone rings or a dog barks. She would squat down & watch ants crawl past under the sofa.
It is interesting actually, if I try to see things through her eyes. She is attracted by the smallest thing that happens, and she gets all excited whenever she hears any sounds. You ought to see how gan cheong she gets when she hears our handphones ringing. She would run towards the handphone and go 'ah ah ah!' and quickly grab the phone and pass to the owner of the phone so that we can answer quickly. It is very comical.
But when I think about it, I also realise that she appreciates the small things in life alot more than me. She appreciates the song, 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. She does a little dance when she hears a famiiar music from the TV. She would smile when we show her a biscuit. She would quickly run to the shoe cabinet when we say we are going gai gai. She would see little flowers on the pavement and she would want to go over & touch them.
Don't get too busy. Appreciate the little things in life. Enjoy life together with Joey. :)
