Bento- Simple Dishes

Put together a simple bento today. It's something new, so I am hoping that Joey would eat it. It was easy to cook though, cos I dumped everything into a soup cooked with beef, and then at the end of it, scoop them out separately and keep another container of soup for Joey to drink later.

On the left are 2 rice buns. At the top right are 3 stalks of boiled broccoli. The green divider cup contains diced mushrooms and in the pink cup, there's some white tofu. All these had been boiled in the beef & ikan bilis soup, so they should have some taste (I hope). To fill in the gaps, there are some cucumber flowers which Joey likes to munch on. The rabbit capsule contains some soya sauce, just in case it's really tasteless. But I told the nursery auntie not to give unless really necessary.

My rice buns are beary-shaped today. =)

Made using this beary mould...

And apple slices at the top tray to complete the meal. :)

Joey's bento for today!

Postscript: Went into the nursery, and auntie told me that Joey finished almost all her food! And she said the rice buns should prepare at least 4, and should put in more broccoli and fill the cups to the brim with mushrooms and tofu cos she likes to eat them. Heee... so happy to hear that... :)
