N1 Is Almost Over!

In the twinkling of an eye, Joey has almost completed one year of school!

I still remember so clearly, her 1st few days in school, and how heart-wrenching the separation was for both Joey and us, and now, she’s going on to Nursery 2 soon!

Yesterday I went for a year-end Meet-the-Parents session with Joey’s school teachers. I was excited to find out whether she’s been behaving and learning well since I last met the teachers 6 months ago!

Apparently, she still is one of her teachers’ most favorite students! Teacher Janet says that I have no areas of concern for her development as she is growing very well. Her English standard has improved and now she converses eloquently in English to her teachers. She also commented that Joey has very good and clear trains of thoughts – She often relates stories, incidents and different happenings to them and they were able to understand her perfectly well. Because she is animated and a drama queen (even her teachers say so!!!), they are always very entertained by her.

Joey has strong leadership skills and often expects people to follow her or submit to her (=P). She is very bubbly and is always full of energy and brings a lot of laughter to her classmates and teachers. She always asks for 2nd helping during  meal times, and sleeps for 3 hours during naptime.

I told the teachers how Joey would imitate the way they tell stories in class, and how they would scold the naughty students and send them to the Thinking Chair, and they really laughed very hard! I took the chance to double-confirm whether Joey has ever been sent to the Thinking Chair before (because she keeps claiming she has NEVER been sent to the chair before), and indeed! The teachers said she is one of the few students who has never been sent or punished before. Haha! So it’s true!

Her teachers all sing her praises for being an enthusiastic, bubbly, delightful and obedient student. Praise God!
