SLEEPING?
There is something very endearing about babies who are sleeping. They look angelic, smell heavenly and breathes with a steady rhythm that can calm a storm.
Sometimes Joey makes me all mad and frustrated when she’s into her hyperactive and unreasonable mode, and I just need to sneak into her room to take a look at her sleeping, smell her a little, and I would forget the hair-pulling encounter just hours ago.
Strangely, when I see my babies sleeping blissfully, the most common thought that comes to my mind is that I am thankful they are alive.
I know it sounds really strange, but that’s really what I think about whenever I peek at them sleep. I feel grateful to God for giving such gorgeous children to me, and they have been such a big blessing in my life. I feel thankful that they are healthy and alive. Most of all, I feel blessed that I have been given the opportunity to mother these great kids.
But of course, sometimes when I look at them sleep, I can’t help but laugh. It can be quite funny sometimes. Like how the whole face is squashed out-of-shape by the mattress. =P
Check out her button nose and the very, very juicy lips. :)
That’s an angel there, nonetheless. My angel. :)
