You may or may not know that Woodlands is a famous kite-flying venue in Singapore. There’re more than 1 spot for kite-flying and many people all over Singapore flock there every evening to fly kites, especially during the weekends.
After living in this part of Singapore for many years, we finally went kite-flying at one of the biggest open spaces in Woodlands! This is the land just next to Christ Church Secondary School. =)
The weather was dry, hot & windy – Perfect for kite-flying!
Beautiful sky we have here at Woodlands!
By the time we reached around 4 plus, there were already many, many kites in the sky!!!
Papa Isaiah tying the strings for our Mr Smiley!
This is only Mr Smiley’s 2nd time soaring in the sky! =D The first time we went kite-flying was at Marina Barrage!
Everyone’s setting up their kites as well.. =)
Joey was busy running here & there checking out everyone’s progress in getting their kites up into the sky!
Tada! Mr Smiley smiling from above! =))
Joey had fun navigating the kite… The wind was strong and kite-flying was a breeze, literally!
Heee heee… I really think kite-flying is a great bonding activity between parents and kids. Best of all, it’s virtually free!
Baby Jayne had her share of fun sitting in the stroller, enjoying the breeze and seeing different ones running to kick-start their kites..
Joey does not know how to set fly a kite, but she’s contented enough to hold on to the string and tug it now and then… =)
Now and then, Papa helps her to fly the kite even higher!
Sadly, not everyone had an easy time with their kites… some people spent all their time untying the knots…… =P
Spotted a cute panda in the sky!
I helped Serene jump-lift her kite!!!!! Muaahahahahahaha….
Happy people, happy faces!
The babies who came along!
Everyone was just having a relaxed & fun time… =) Though, quite frankly, once the kites get up into the skies, there’s nothing much to do.. =P
Let’s see what Joey has to say!
Kite-flying is fun!!!!
