An Extra Mile At Polliwogs

Many parents, like me, know that Polliwogs is a play haven for our kids. What I was pleasantly surprised about the other day when I brought the girls there, was that they also offer free art & craft sessions for the children at designated timings. That’s an extra mile, I say.

Every Tue, Wed & Thur at 4pm, Polliwog’s staff would conduct storytelling or art & craft sessions for the kids free-of-charge. Only usual entrance fees apply, and all materials are provided by Polliwogs. Since I brought the kids on a Thursday afternoon, we checked out their art & craft session for the day. =D

Always loved Polliwog’s outdoor seating area. So colourful & cheery-looking! If I have such a huge balcony in my future house, I’ll do it up like this too, with parquet flooring and pop colour rattan sofa chairs!

The staff at Polliwogs started off the session with some simple role playing. The theme of the art & craft that day was on the ocean & its creatures, and they acted as two good friends who wanted to go to the seaside to play. They were animated & entertaining! =D

Then they got the kids to sit at the tables and explained how they would do their artwork step by step. Jayne was more interested than Joey! She took a seat and followed the instructions!

Doodling is always fun, especially in the company of so many other children.

It was a short and light-hearted session, and the kids had fun. But of course, right after the session, they ran back into the play gym and continued their running and chasing all over again. =)

Polliwogs is located behind Waraku along East Coast Park.
