An Oxymoronic Lifestyle

Motherhood is synonymous with oxymoron.

There’re days I miss my girls so much in my office, and other days when I was just glad to be away from them. There’re days I enjoy spending lots and lots of time with them, and others when I just want to hide under the dining table. I love my kids without a doubt. But I must say I get driven crazy ever so often as well.

That’s the oxymoronic thing about my life. Everyday, the emotions run from high to low and back to high again. One of the toughest things about being a mum is none other than these.

Oh, and have I mentioned about the drive-me-nuts-noise-they-make-when-they-fight? When two girls fight, it can get really scary. They pull on everything possible, most often the hair definitely, and so most of the time, the fights are accompanied by hysterical screeches and screams of the highest pitch humanly possible.

But of course, when the two exist peacefully in one dimension, it’s pretty awesome. It’s the usual sweet and cutie pie stuffs that sisters produce. Especially when the younger one follows Jie Jie everywhere she goes. Melts my heart totally.

These were taken at the Singapore Changi Airport Terminal One. We were waiting for our flight, and the girls were excited about the vacation. =)

What makes me feel really happy is knowing that they’re going through life’s experiences together. When I see the duo hang out together, it just makes me feel all fizzy inside. =) Sisters. Awwww….

Now even though the two fight everyday over small little things here and there, I know they enjoy being around each other. We’ve all gotten used to the level of rowdiness that it’s just weirdly quiet when one is not around!

The big one is pretending to be emo and the younger one follows suit. LOL.
