These little people in my house thrive under strong sunlight. The moment they’re unleashed, they dash to the nearest thing that looks remotely like a playground. It would be perfect if they really survive on solar energy alone – I should be a millionaire by now with all that savings on milk powder and biscuits.
It was a lethargic Saturday last weekend. The girls were at home almost the whole day till late afternoon, when we brought them to Pasir Ris Park before meeting my parents for dinner. The outing, though short, did them good. They found life again in the sunlight. They were practically rotting at home before that.
When we reached Pasir Ris Park, it was after 4pm, and it was still bright and sunny. A little too hot for me, but perfect for my girls, it seems. The girls trotted around like excited soldiers. We are all lovers of the Nature – the sun, the sea, the sand! That’s why I love bringing my girls outdoors – It’s way more interesting than the same old cartoons on TV.
The breakwaters remained one of our most favourite parts of any beach. The girl was enjoying a solidarity moment while the dad was trying to snap a very difficult photo.
Funny how Joey can stand ‘this straight’ while looking out to the sea. And Baby Jayne attempted to climb up all by herself, which was quite a feat, considering how slippery it was and that she was wearing slippers that threatened to slip off anytime.
It was peaceful with occasional beating of the waves. Relaxes the mind totally. Moments spent with my girls like these are priceless.
Then of course, we had to land up at the playground no matter what. The playgrounds at Pasir Ris Park were fun. =) At least they had my fav swings.
And awesome max that they even have the infant seat swing. Baby Jayne could not get out of it by herself till we’ve all taken no less than a hundred photographs of her in it. I should have one of these installed in my house. For emergency use - You know what I mean.
And oh, every fun playground has to have one of those hanging bridges that shakes here and there when some naughty kid jumps on it. Joey was that naughty kid that day. =P
And of course, lots and lots of climbing and sliding completed our expedition to the Pasir Ris Park.
At the end of the day, playgrounds win again. As always. =)
