Watching Their Backs

It is a beautiful sight when my two girls work hand in hand in perfect harmony on a common goal. And I especially love to watch them from their backs.

One fine day, they suddenly decided to embark on Operation Remove All Stickers From The Bed. I know this operation name sounds a little uncool and way too long, but it best sums up what it was all about.

Kids generally love to ‘customise’ what they own. So they love to paste stickers all over their bed frame, cupboards, chairs and tables. I literally have to close one eye to all that because from an adult’s perspective, it’s just one big mess and eyesore. To the kids however, it’s drawing their territory and declaring publicly what they own.

The funny thing is they derive as much joy from tearing off all the stickers as well. The two of them can keep at the task for such a long time, until the whole floor is filled with sticker carcasses. All I needed to do was to sweep it all away. A fantastic deal in exchange for a prolonged period of peacefulness, if you ask me.

I seriously can yawn just by staring at them for a full minute.

Such a perfect back view, isn’t it? =)
