Jurong Bird Park: There Were Many, Many Birds

Decided to give myself a little holiday from blogging, Haha! Here’s my first post of 2012! =D

* * * * *

The price of the admission ticket to the Jurong Bird Park is comparable to the Singapore Mandai Zoo, so most people tell me it’s more worth it to visit the zoo rather than the Bird Park because you get to see a lot more varieties of animals at the zoo. But strangely, I enjoyed visiting the Bird Park much more. My last 2 visits to the Bird Park had been so much fun!

Last week, we brought the girls to Jurong Bird Park and spent close to 6 hours there! That’s amazing considering we were only looking at birds and virtually nothing else. But I really enjoyed myself! And of course, it was a great time spent with my kids and hubby. Plus, the weather was just perfect – Windy & cool with little sun. It was the first dry day after weeks of heavy downpour, praise God!

Always loved their entry tickets, printed with different colourful birds!

The signature parrot photo-taking area at the entrance. This has been here since I first visited the Bird Park as a Primary School kid! =P

The Penguin Coast exhibition is a special display for the season. The penguins were humongous! And extremely adorable because they looked so clumsy!!!

Look at this smug-looking penguin! It was just standing tall (and still) for people to snap its photo!

The girls’ all-time favourite is the flamingo. Its colour is just fabulously pretty!

And they attempted to stand like them!! LOL!

Managed to catch the Bird show! It was so entertaining & a lot of fun! Everyone in the park was there, I think! So packed & crowded!

The kids watched without batting an eyelid throughout!

Bird Park show

We continued walking through the park after the show, and saw a lot more pretty and interesting birds!

The birds even interacted with them. =)
