Snowing At Tanglin Mall

It’s been our annual tradition to visit Tanglin Mall for its snowing session every Christmas, and I’m sure I’m not the only family with that tradition. It snows at 7.45pm everyday but by the time we got to the mall at 7.30pm, it was SUPER PACKED with people – young & old! You can hardly blame us, right? We Singaporeans cannot experience real snow here, so this kind of fake snowing excites us easily.

Tanglin Mall is really pretty this year – I think they have a good chance to winning ‘Best Dressed Building’ award for Christmas this year. :)

I was experienced this year – I brought disposable raincoats for the girls to put on so that I don’t need to clean them up after the play. It gets very, very messy with the foam and all! Tanglin snowing sessions are basically the largest open-air foam parties for kids! My kids are not the adventurous type, so they didn’t station themselves right in front of the foam-generating machine. Those who did got terribly wet, I think they needed a proper bath after the play. I was very amused most of the time by the few foreigner kids who were not fazed by the huge amount of foam blowing at them. You’ll spot them in the photos I snapped of them – I couldn’t resist it. It was so very entertaining. (Way more than watching my mild kids who only dared to stand by the side and scoop foam onto a nearby tree. =.=

As you can see, it’s the same few boys who have been caught on my camera because they were really bold and went all out to enjoy the ‘shooting’ foam. Love their playfulness and boldness! =D

Hop on down to Tanglin Mall and catch one of these snowing sessions! It’s as good as it can get here in Singapore, methinks.
