What a gem we found yesterday near Serangoon Gardens! The husband and I just finished lunch at Yio Chu Kang Road, and we were walking towards Serangoon Gardens to meet a friend when we passed by The Coffee Daily. It looked a really small shop but interesting enough, so we made a trip back there after meeting our friend. Love the vintage shopfront – Those retro grilles are lovely!
Turned out, the shop’s not small at all. Once you walk in, you’ll find a big cafe with many tables and chairs. It feels like a pigeon hole but cosy and comfortable.
The Coffee Daily serves coffee, tea, cold beverages, as well as small bites and main courses. If you are a waffle-lover, you can have that here too (with ice-cream even!).
Love the retro touches that can be found everywhere in the cafe.
They have rainbow cake here too!
So very inspired by the furnitures in the cafe – There was a bar counter made out of old window grilles nailed to a block of wooden table top, high chairs refurbished with vintage fabrics, and my absolute favorites were the coffee tables made with vintage metal trays!
And yes, they had the red & blue rubber band chairs too!
We ordered Chicken Pot Pie, Mac & Cheese and a Wild Mushroom Soup. I think the food’s ordinary but the coffee’s pretty good.
If you come by for a coffee, get yourself a bowl of vintage biscuits, with compliments from the cafe.
I really like this cafe for its laid back & cosy feel – Will go back again!
