One of my kids’ favorite performances, Disney On Ice, will be happening soon in Singapore on 19 March – 23 March 2014! The 11 performances named Treasure Trove will be nothing less than spectacular because it will be a magical medley of Disney tales from its first animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to the 50th film, Tangled. Now, this is saying that not only will my kids look forward to it, I will too! I’ve always been fond of Disney’s animated films and till today, I still have fond memories of Beauty & The Beast and Aladdin – the movies & the theme songs alike.
Treasure Trove will feature eight movies and more than 50 Disney characters, so I imagine it would be quite a thrill to watch. Expect an action-packed ice adventure that takes the audience on a journey through their favorite stories from Disney animated features. Brave a battle against Captain Hook and his pirate pals with Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, trek across the Pride Lands with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa, and enter the whimsical world of Wonderland to witness a precision skating number by the Queen of Hearts’ Army of Cards! Treasure Trove looks set to impress every generation with a story they can relate to.
Crowd interaction is a key component to the Disney On Ice experience, and that is evident in this production. Just to cite a few: Rapunzel and Flynn will share a special moment with an audience member when they release a lantern together. Sebastian will invite everyone to be a part of the rhythm during ‘Under the Sea’. Peter Pan and Tinker Bell will encourage the crowd to echo the crocodile’s ‘tick tock’ and Aladdin will stop to shake hands with guests in Agrabah. Sounds like lots of fun, isn’t it?? :)
