School Holidays Special: Our Top 5 Indoor Playgrounds In Singapore

With the kind of hot and humid weather we have in Singapore, it is no surprise that many parents prefer to let their kids play at indoor playgrounds instead of outdoor ones. Indoor playgrounds are usually bigger with more features and structures, but of course, that comes with a price tag. I have not come across an indoor playground that’s cheap in Singapore, but I guess if the kids really enjoy themselves, it’s a worthwhile investment. Plus, the bonus is that the parents can wait comfortably or be entertained by free wifi and magazines provided by the indoor playgrounds. Grab a coffee and snack from their cafes, and you can have a very relaxing afternoon while the kids run and go crazy on padded and safe structures.

Truth be told, I don’t usually bring my kids to indoor playgrounds, but they’ve been to quite a few because of media invites. This is my list of Top 5 favorite indoor playgrounds in Singapore. Hopefully, it can give you some inspiration for this coming March school holidays.

1. Polliwogs

The very first indoor playground that I brought Joey to was the Polliwogs at East Coast Park. Back then in 2009, we haven’t got that many indoor playgrounds around. Polliwogs offered a fresh idea for play for children, so I couldn’t wait to Joey to try out the place. Turned out, she loved the place of course! Subsequently, several other Polliwogs opened up at various places in Singapore with the latest opening at Vivo City. While Vivo City’s branch is new and easily accessible because it’s situated within a shopping mall, I still prefer the East Coast outlet because of the size and outdoor bouncy castle option. It’s just not as easily accessible if you do not have a car.

The kids love the ball shooting stations, wall-climbing and ball pool. I love how colorful everything is!

2. Fidgets World

This huge indoor playground located at The Grand Stand offers not just fun indoor play, but also activity rooms for baking classes and other craft workshops. Because of that, they are also a popular choice venue for birthday parties.

The place is huge with different sections for different age groups. Parents with younger kids don’t have to worry about their kids being bullied or trampled upon by older ones.

Their party rooms look great even without much decor. :)

3. Playful Elves

The kids had a great play date with their friends at Playful Elves when we last visited. It’s a little out of the way for us, otherwise we would visit it more often. Nevertheless, they have really fun ball-shooting arena, so the kids attacked each other to their hearts’ contents the last time we were there. For the younger kids, there’s a car-riding area with roads and traffic lights.

4. Amazonia

The Amazonia at Great World City should be the biggest indoor playground in Singapore with so many different sections to entertain the kids. The jungle theme can be seen everywhere, and the some of the play structures are pretty challenging too. Their slides are so steep that even I would think twice before trying them. The kids, of course, had no such qualms.

Apart from the multi-level play structure, Amazonia also offers a 3D Glow Mini Golf and a illuminated Spaceball room.

5. Peek-A-Boo

If you are planning a full-day programme for your kids during this school holidays, you can consider bringing them to Kallang Leisure Park. There are many options available there – Indoor playground, ice-skating rink, bowling alley and cinema. The indoor playground, Peek-a-Boo provides a lot of fun with a three-storey structure and a lovely longish ball pit.

Compared to many indoor playgrounds, Peek-a-boo should be one of the most affordable around. You only need to pay $12 for unlimited play!
