I’ve introduced two different Mother’s Day cakes so far – One is a sponge cake packed with lots of fruity goodness, and the other is an ice-cream cake matched with red velvet sponge cake. This last cake I am sharing is a 100% ice-cream cake from Haagen Daz! If you are not a fan of cakes, this one will suit you best. A dome of ice-cream covered in white chocolate and topped with frozen fruits – Super gratifying.
Look at how pretty the cake is with abundance of fruits and pink hearts all around! Just the thought that this entire dome is made up of my favorite ice-cream flavor makes me grin.
What a perfect combination to have freezing cold ice-cream and freezing cold fruits together! With the kind of hot and humid weather we’ve been having nowadays, this sounds like a wonderful dessert!
And what a pity it would be if I don’t share this pretty and yummy cake with my other mummy friends! Seriously, motherhood is a thankless job – Thank God for many likeminded mummy friends who go through this journey together with me and understand what I am going through. Without them, motherhood would be lonely and tough. As Mother’s Day draws near, my prayers is that our lives will get sweeter and sweeter with each passing year (just like this ice-cream cake), as we enjoy our kids more and more.
It’s definitely legit to look this gleeful in the face of a pretty ice-cream cake. We obviously couldn’t wait to dig in! Ice-cream makes everyone happy, mummies included!! =D

The Heart of Perfection is available at all Häagen-Dazs outlets at $82 from today to 23 May 2014. Ice cream flavour can be replaced with Macadamia Nut or Belgian Chocolate ice cream upon request (pre-order required). The cake is only available as a 1kg serving (serves 4 to 6 pax).
