My family loves going for staycations. They are short breaks in the midst of our busy lives, that are affordable and do not require much travelling time. After every staycation, I feel refreshed to go a little further, work a little harder, and generally feel happier on the whole.
Now, who doesn’t love a staycation? Especially when we are talking about a luxurious staycation in a wonderful hotel like Pan Pacific Hotel. I have good news for those who are constantly looking for good staycation deals – As part of the celebration for Singapore’s 50th birthday, Pan Pacific Hotel has introduced a great SG50 Staycation Package that is not just value-for-money, but also comes with many perks.
I love Pan Pacific for its central location, cosy and classy furnishings and the meticulous service provided by the staff, right from the check-in reception to the housekeeping services.
As we stepped into our Harbour Studio King room at Pan Pacific Hotel, we liked it immediately. It was spacious (definitely bigger than most rooms I’ve stayed in before) with an office area and bar counter. The room was very elegantly furnished with matching designs on the carpet and bed cover. It was cosy to say the least.
The bathroom came fully equipped with a nice bath tub and a standing rain shower area. No worries about that see-through panel from bathroom to the room – You can let the blinds down if you are shy. =P For me, I found that particularly useful though – I could let my kids play in the bath tub while I keep a close watch on them while watching TV on the bed. It was perfect for families!
The working desk was big and I could get some work done that night after the kids went to bed.
I really like the bar counter very much – It was a nice corner to enjoy coffee and snacks without disturbing the sleeping area. The room came with a Nespresso machine (perfect for coffee lovers like us!) with capsules provided of course.
That’s the gorgeous view from our room, and how apt, I thought. A SG50 staycation package in a room with a view that shows much of Singapore’s development and pride. I expect this staycation package will be VERY HOT during the National Day period – So please book early to avoid disappointment!
We are excited to explore the rest of the hotel, even though we can’t bear to leave the comfort of our room. =D
We did eventually drag ourselves out of the room because we wanted to check out the swimming pool! As we walked out to the corridors, we were once again amazed by the architecture and furnishings of the hotel. Just look at the exquisite structure of the hotel – So grand and magnificent in a subtle way.
We took the ‘bubble lift’, which gave us great views of the surrounding areas.
The girls can’t wait to swim, and the walk to the pool was full of lush greenery and landscapes. Love how relaxing it made the whole place feel.
The swimming pool was huge with shallow areas for the kids to paddle in. There were also sun beds for those who want to get a nice tan.
Nearby to the pool is the hotel’s gym, which is open 24 hours. The gym’s very well-equipped, clean and well-lit, with a soothing view of the greeneries outside when you are doing your workouts.
As our room was a Pacific room, it came with complimentary Pacific Club access on Level 38 of the hotel, and we could enjoy champagne breakfast (morning), afternoon tea (3pm – 5pm) and cocktails (6pm – 8pm) in the comfort of the lounge. For families with children, please take note though. Only those above 12 years old are allowed into the lounge.
The view from the lounge was magnificent! What a way to enjoy life with good food, good views and good ambience. See the variety of food provided and you’ll know what I mean. Everything was prepared by the hotel chefs and tasted really good. :)
Love the Victorian-style furnishings at the lounge. Feels totally classy and cosy.
When night fell, the view from the hotel room grew even more glorious. We could admire the sights all night!
Because our SG50 Staycation package came with a $50 dining credit to be utilized within the hotel (selected dining outlets), we decided to go for supper at the cafe in the hotel lobby. 
The girls were delighted to find IPADs available for their entertainment while waiting for the food to arrive. =P
The food was delicious and definitely warmed our hearts as we had a good family time together.

Caesar Salad with chicken – Huge portion and very hearty!
What I really look forward to in every staycation is really the BREAKFAST BUFFET. =P My husband thinks I’m weird because he’d rather sleep in, but there is no way I can miss yummy and sumptuous breakfast!

The staff at the Eggs station had a light-hearted chat with Joey, which made her feel very at home. :)
The breakfast buffet offered local, Western, Italian, Japanese, Indian and Chinese cuisines. So many varieties – Spoilt for choice!
Our staycation at Pan Pacific Hotel ended with full stomachs and full hearts. Thank you for hosting us, and making our stay such a wonderful one! :)
