If you are looking for a new and fresh venue to have a relaxing breakfast during the weekends, look no further - I’ve got just the right recommendation for you!
Nothing beats having breakfast with our loved ones in a relaxing and chill place, where kids can run free and have lots of fun while the adults eat and chat. If you remember, I reviewed Sandbank some time back and shared many of their awesome main courses which my family thoroughly enjoyed. This time round, they’ve come up with a new breakfast buffet for weekends and public holidays which I think is really value-for-money!
The buffet spread was not exceptionally huge like those you can find in hotels, but for the price you are paying, you get to eat for 2 hours in a very nice alfresco restaurant that faces the sea and two lap pools right outside the restaurant for some splashing fun. That’s a good deal, don’t you think?

Egg Station that everyone loves! Joey really likes scrambled eggs and this is almost always the first station she goes to. :)
Nasi Lemak selection is great. The rice is fragrant and the ingredients go so well. One of my favorite items on the buffet. By the way, that empty pot there holds fried chicken wings which are freshly fried on-the-spot and go out-of-stock very quickly! That’s how good they are.
There are the usual fanfare of potatoes, veggies, bacon, sausages and pastries too.
Steamed buns are perfect for the little ones. Kids below the age of 3 get to eat for free!
Crispy roti prata go perfectly with curry!
The pork porridge was another surprise for me. It tasted really good and I have a few servings!
For the health-conscious and for those who are not used to heavy breakfasts, go with the salads. The veggies are really fresh and sweet.
Fruit juices, milk, cereals and cold cuts are available too.
I invited both my mum and mother-in-law to join us for breakfast that day, and we had an awesome time hanging out together. Always happy to be relaxing with my family over good food. Does so much good to my soul. :)
And of course, the kids couldn’t wait to jump right into the pools after they’ve had one round of breakfast. I really wouldn’t stop them because I know how tempting the pools are, and they will probably go for second and third rounds of the buffet after swimming for a while. Weekends should be like that, no?! It’s great that the pools are within the sight of the parents so that the adults can continue pigging out and chatting while the kids enjoy the pool. You can always opt for the outdoor seats right next to the pools as well if you really need to be close to your kids at all times.
Besides having a splashing good time in the plunge pool, the kids were also kept entertained by balloon twisting and glitter tattoo by Weekends Pte Ltd that day.* It was all in all, a very relaxing and happy Saturday morning for us. :D
* The glitter tattooist/balloonist were invited for the media event that day, and is not an on-going entertainment every weekend/PH.
