I know how devastating the news is for many of us parents, because there are so many wonderful memories of our kids playing and splashing at the water playground. Good news is, it’s making way for a new development which promises to bring much fun to the kids as well, but before that, plan a trip there for your kids to enjoy the facilities one last time! Best of all, POLW is offering a special two-day-only Christmas Brunch buffet on 24th & 25th December 2016, just before it closes. More on that later!
My kids have always loved POLW – I even remember the first time they stepped into POLW and their eyes and mouths went wide open when they saw the gigantic pirate ship water playground! Since then, every time I mentioned POLW, they would be extremely excited. Last weekend, we had a ball of a time there as always! Seriously, it’s hard not to have fun at POLW. And I especially love it during the Christmas season because of all the festive decorations!
For the uninitiated, the kids are given curios upon entering POLW – The curios can be used to ‘purchase’ popcorn and candy floss, do art & craft or enter the foam pool party. There are staff on site to ensure the safety of the kids and to engage them as well. The moment we enter, my kids would dash into the water playground without even a goodbye, every.single.time.
The foam pool is a major draw for the kids – Just look at the excited faces!
So yes, POLW will be offering a two-day-only Christmas Brunch Buffet on 24th & 25th December and the special prices include food + play time in POLW for the whole day! The buffet is from 11am to 4pm, so you can feast to your heart’s content while the kids have a play-eat-play-eat-play-eat extravaganza as well. Their appetite will be humongous after dashing through those water and foam, so this is definitely worth it! We had a tasting of some of the items available on the buffet spread, and I am so surprised that everything tasted awesome – And I’m not even being kind because I was invited to the event. I am genuinely surprised at the quality of the food…. at a kids’ water playground?! For the prices you will be paying, rest assured that you will get seriously yummy Christmas fare.
Items on the brunch buffet spread include Christmas turkey, roast beef, salt-baked salmon, shepherd’s pie, log cakes, assorted sandwiches, salads, soups etc. If you are having a gathering of parents with young kids, this might be the best option you can go for this Christmas weekend – Both adults and kids would be so happy! =D
My kids absolutely loved the roast beef and turkey, dipping them into the delicious sauces provided along with them. I was delighted to find my favorite Brussels sprouts among the roasted vegetables! Everything was so well done and tasted perfect that I couldn’t stop eating – I totally over ate that day. *burp*
Thank you so much, POLW for giving my kids a chance to enjoy POLW for the last time and enjoy such an amazing early Christmas feast together as a family. We will definitely miss POLW – It’s been such a memorable part of my kids’ childhood! =D
