“I Have The Power” Face Mask Design Competition

Advertorial

One of the most common ailments among Singaporeans is the Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) which includes cough, cold and flu, and as parents, we also have to find ways to protect our kids against such viruses so that our lives don’t get disrupted all the time. While environmental factors are not within our control, there are certain good hygiene practices that we can teach our kids so as to prevent germs from spreading, especially among their classmates in school. These good practices should not be new to you – They are simple things such as remembering to wash hands regularly, avoid sharing of food with others who are sick and of course, wearing a good grade face mask when down with a cough or cold.

Following the successful launch of I have the POWER Face Mask Design competition in 2015 (which we participated in!), Xepa-Soul Pattinson and ADEZIO Allergy & Cold Relief are doing this again this year, and I thought it was an apt time for me to revisit this again with my kids, and reiterate the importance of good hygiene practices. Simple personal hygiene practices can go a long way in ensuring that my kids don’t fall sick because of germs and viruses, and since they spend a huge portion of their time everyday in school where I cannot monitor them, the only way is to educate them to know how to be responsible for their own hygiene. Plus, we had lots of fun colouring the face mask together!
