My family can never get enough of crabs and so when we heard about home delivery of good-quality crabs, we just had to order and try them for ourselves! 8 Crabs is the only crab delivery in Singapore using grade AAA premium Sri Lankan sourced wild crabs (Yay!). They also offer the usual zichar favorites, so we ordered a big feast for our family dinner last week!
The star of the evening was of course the crabs. I went for their Signature Set Meal, which I thought was really value-for-money because I get to try so many of their dishes at a much lower price. This set meal includes a crab of my choice as well as 5 other dishes including Cereal Prawns, Black Pepper Beef, beancurd, vegetables and chicken. Fried mantou and rice were also included in the set. I added another crab dish so that we have both spicy and non-spicy versions.
Our dinner arrived right on time and still relatively hot! They definitely passed the first and most important test of food delivery.
Presenting the Sri Lankan crabs! It's definitely their signature - The crabs were super fresh with firm and juicy flesh and really huge! The wild crabs are air-flown in daily, so you can expect nothing but the freshest! We thoroughly enjoyed the Black Pepper and Salted Egg Yolk crabs - Both were tasty and satisfying. The black pepper could be spicier, in my opinion but because of that, the kids could help themselves to it as well. Their only non-spicy option was the Salted Egg Yolk, so I had no other choice. It would awesome if they could include more non-spicy options in the future.
Other dishes were delicious as well. Cereal prawns especially thrilled the kids so much because the prawns were humongous!
