Joey doesn't seem to know that night time is for sleeping. Well, at least for these few nights. Whenever she's not feeling well, she will have difficulties sleeping through the night. She will keep waking up every few hours and poor daddy & mummy will have a worse-than-death experience.
Like last night, she woke up in the middle of the night, like 3am, then decided that it's playtime, and went on to climb our bed, climb the drawers, crawl out of her sleep zone (attempted to but failed). She was giggling and singing and having so much fun that I was so bewildered! HELLO? BABY, CAN'T YOU SEE THE SKY OUTSIDE IS STILL VERY DARK?!
She doesn't realise that night time is for sleeping and playing is an absolutely crazy & absurd idea.
She did fall asleep by herself later though. Like 1 hour later. And that was after I declared I give up and forced Isaiah to take over. Which he did, but I think he fell asleep sooner than Joey.
Joey was such a super sleepy baby in my womb that even amazed my gynae. She commented once, 'I seldom see such sleepy babies.' Believe me, she got worried to the extent that she was wondering if my baby is still alive. How come so little response?!
Up till the time she hit one month old, she seldom opened her eyes. Even when she did open on a few rare occasions, she could only succeed in opening one eye. The other eye was always stuck. And those who remember, she slept through her entire baby shower. When all the uncles and aunties were excited to play with her, she just slept the whole day in her cot. Experts say that sometimes babies do that because they hear too much noise & activities that they dare not open their eyes and could only pretend to sleep becos that's the safest.
So, we kinda made the conclusion that Joey is now MAKING UP FOR LOST TIME. (Help!~)
Play like there's no tomorrow. Crawl like there's no tomorrow. Sing song like there's no tomorrow.
Speaking of sing song. It just dawned upon me this morning as I was walking back from my breakfast, that it is such BAD ENGLISH. It's what we usually tell Joey when we want her to start singing a song, and she would go 'ahhhhhhh..... ahhhhhhhh....'. But sing song is a direct translation from mandarin, isn't it?? It's BAD BAD ENGLISH. I've decided that I should at least say 'Sing A song'. Yeh, that's sounds better.
